Salary: £10.42 (going up in April)
Hours: 12.5 hrs a week
Working Pattern: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 6-8:30pm. Thursday 4-6:30pm
Are you passionate about providing essential Support Services in a healthcare setting? We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Band 2 Support Services Assistants. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cleaning, catering, portering, and laundry services within a designated facility, with a focus on interaction with Learning Disability/Mental Health clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties in accordance with work schedules or instructions.
- Prepare, cook, re-heat, and serve food and beverages to the required standard.
- Maintain accurate records as necessary.
- Receive, sort, and launder items to the required standard.
- Ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Assist with patient transport and courier duties.
- Strip and make unoccupied beds.
- Lock doors and set alarms as required.
- Maintain personal hygiene and appearance to a high standard.
- Adhere to all Trust policies and procedures, and participate in training as required.
- Provide Support Services in any part of the Trust to assist with staff shortages.
- Carry out duties in residential facilities, including substantial unsupervised access to children or people with learning disabilities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding and adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Willingness to undergo vetting procedures for roles involving interaction with vulnerable individuals.
