As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents. You will work closely with individuals to provide person-centered support, enabling them to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care: Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Emotional Support: Building positive relationships with service users, promoting their emotional well-being.
- Behavioural Support: Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Community Integration: Supporting individuals to participate in social activities, hobbies, and outings.
- Medication Administration: Ensuring safe and accurate administration of prescribed medications.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or concerns promptly.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and autism.
- Qualifications: A relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3).
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Driving License: Desirable but not essential.
