Overview:
Encounter Live-In Care Specialists is seeking to employee dedicated people to join our high skilled team of care professionals. As a Support Worker , you will be providing our service users with day-to-day care for the elderly and other people who are not able to take care of themselves at home.
Job Duties:
- Traveling between sites to provide care to multiple clients.
- Listening to a client’s needs, wants, and other suggestions about their care.
- Attending to patient's hygienic needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Recording basic health information such as weight, food intake, and medication intake.
- Reporting any unexpected or worrisome conditions in the service user either medical, psychological, emotional, or otherwise.
- Assisting service users with meals preparation.
- Light household chores on behalf of the service user such as making the bed, tidying up the bedroom.
- Assisting service users with mobility needs (helping them get up, helping them get into a wheelchair or walker, pushing a wheelchair, etc.)
- Respecting the service users' privacy and rules of confidentiality.
- Establishing a relationship with each service user and their families.
- Responding to medical and other emergencies immediately.
