We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team:
- To work with people to promote health and well being and promote positive outcomes for all our users.
- To Support people in their local communities to access activities and opportunities, to be part of their community and valued as member of public.
- To enable people to access hydrotherapy to promote their ongoing physical wellbeing.
- As part of the wellbeing programme to engage people to embrace their local environments and green space and to connect with the allotment project.
- To work creatively and proactively to ensure person centred approaches are used for people with disabilities.
- To work under the managers guidance to follow support plans.
- To utilise the public transport system to access the local community and public services.
- To lone work in the community with people you are supporting.
- To work as part of team to deliver building-based activities in line with the service priorities.
- To maintain electronic contact records of your support and reporting to your line manager any concerns.
- To consider and include the council Values and Behaviours in everything you do
Essential requirements for the role:
- Willingness to achieve QCF 2 in care.
- Good knowledge of the Sandwell area and public transport.
- Good communication, planning & organisation skills.
- A flexible approach to working as every day is different.
- Willingness to encourage people to develop and maximise life opportunities and aspirations.
- Candidates must be 18 years old or above.
You will also be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
Hours
Two posts available - 35 hours & 21 hours per week
