Who will you be supporting? 
 
  • You will be supporting 1 individual that requires help and support in different areas.
  • They require guidance and encouragement to maintain their independence.
  • This individual has autism and diabetes and needs structure and consistency.
  • We need staff to be confident and to remain consistent with their approach, especially if their are behaviours that challenge.
 
What is important to this person? 
 
  • I want someone who is happy.
  • I want a person who is positive. Who will bring me ideas about where to go and things I can do.
  • Show me you care with the support that you give.
  • Stay calm, relaxed and flexible when giving me support.
  • You need to be able to cook and clean but encourage me to do what I can to help.
  • Help me to keep safe.
 
Any other important information?
 
  • I have 2 staff with me from 9-5. You will be lone working outside of these hours.
  • My staff usually do a long day sleep shift which is 09.00-22.00, the sleep hours are 22.00-07.00, but I sometimes wake earlier than that. The other shift is a short day which is 9-5, this is to support me out and about.
