Job Title: Personal Assistant
Hours of work: Part time hours 8:30am to 7pm - Flexibility across 7 days is required. Regular overtime, sickness and annual leave cover available.
Salary: £11:44 rising to £12.66 following training and probation
Accountable to: Care Manager
Job Purpose:
You will support a gentleman to live in his family home in Anfield Liverpool. You need to be able to communicate clearly in English. Plus able to document detailed notes throughout the day.
He is quadriplegic, and you will support the administration of prescribed medication. You will support him with personal care, and keep him company, also required is some respite sitting overnight to give his partner a well needed break.
Ability to arrive at work by 08.30am, is paramount.

Training and Development (this is a mandatory)
You will receive full training in all aspects of duties including the care of the gentleman’s gastronomy, medication administration. catheter care, nebuliser and suction
You will be supported and encouraged to undertake role specific training and education opportunities to develop your skills further. You are required to undertake all mandatory training relevant.
Duties :
❖ Personal care.
❖ Support to manage incontinence, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain a good skin state.
❖ Catheter care and emptying his leg bag.
❖ Gastrostomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication.
❖ Medication administration
❖ Monitoring of general health and wellbeing, daily record keeping as such.
