Systems Accountant

The Systems Accountant role is integral to our Accounting & Finance team, focusing on improving systems and processes within the organisation. Based in Liverpool, this role will be pivotal in driving change and efficiency within their financial systems.

Description

As a Systems Accountant you will:

• Enhance and streamline financial systems and processes.
• Lead financial system projects and initiatives.
• Partner with IT and Finance teams to drive system improvements.
• Provide system training and support to the Finance team.
• Manage data quality and integrity within financial systems.
• Develop and implement system-related policies and procedures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities through the use of financial systems.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.

Profile

A successful Systems Accountant should have:

• An Accountancy Qualification (CIMA/ CIPFA/ ACA/ ACCA)
• Proven experience in financial systems and processes improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in financial software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• A proactive and innovative approach to work.
