SalaryWe're partnering with one of the UK's best-loved animal welfare charities to find a collaborative and innovative Systems Accountant to manage and enhance the Netsuite finance system. You'll have a strong accounting background, experience with financial software, and a passion for animal welfare. This role is crucial in ensuring financial processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Oversee the integration of financial data across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and implement system improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of financial systems.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
- Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency with financial software and systems (ideally Oracle Netsuite).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
