As a Systems and Reporting officer at HS2 you will be responsible for delivering integrated programme and corporate reporting to enable effective, data driven decision making across the procurement & commercial functions.
Base salary: £30,150 to c.£37,700 depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As a Systems and Reporting officer at HS2 you will be responsible for delivering integrated programme and corporate reporting to enable effective, data driven decision making across the procurement & commercial functions.
About the role:
- Examine and analyse reporting requirements, collate and manage large amounts of data, and produce meaningful outputs to inform business decisions.
- Conduct analysis on a range of commercial, technical and programme information
- Provide operational reporting to support teams within Procurement and across the business
- The production of high-quality monthly reporting for internal leadership and external parties
- Development of reports and presentations to update key stakeholder groups
- Setting up and facilitating workshops with other functional areas to develop and improve core reporting outputs
- Deliver regular programme overview plan reporting
- Ad-hoc support to high-profile projects across the organisation
- Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
About You:
Skills:
- Ability to collect, interrogate, effectively analyse and report on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Ability to assimilate large volumes of detail, drawing out the key issues in a clear and concise way, suitable for all audiences
- Proficient user of IT Systems and analytical tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, Tableau, MS Access)
- Able to produce clear communications which engage and influence colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of reporting and analysis within a large organisation.
- Knowledge of ERPs (Oracle) and Commercial and Procurement Systems in order to build regular reports and undertake trend analysis.
Type of experience:
- Experience of reporting and analytics in large complex organisations.
- Experience with complex Microsoft Excel functionality and some practical data visualisation (Tableau or Microsoft Power BI) experience.
- Experience of co-ordination of inputs from multiple stakeholders and delivery of excellent quality output reporting.
