Talent Management and Development Partner (6 month FTC)

Job Purpose:

The Talent Management and Development Partner is responsible for identifying and driving Talent Management, leadership, learning and culture efforts for Munich Re across the Europe and Latin America Region.

Whilst having specific responsibility for Bell and Clements, UK Life Branch and MRUKS Shared Services, they will collaborate closely with the local and regional Talent Management & Development team. They will also partner as required with other regional businesses and support on specific regional projects and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Talent Management Partner to the Businesses

  • Partner with HRBP’s, plan and deliver talent review and succession planning sessions, including upskilling for use of new global 9 box approach

  • Partner with the businesses to identify specific development needs

  • Promote and encourage participation in the regional curriculum and Management and leadership development pathways

  • Promote and identify candidates for existing global talent programmes i.e. Oxygen, Hydrogen, GMP

  • Lead ‘Investing in Careers’ catch ups with HRBP’s and Business Head’s


Local Initiatives

  • Gender Ambition across MRUKS – support in delivering the agreed TM&D strategy for 2024

  • Bell & Clements Senior Leadership Development – work with HR Manager and MRSI HR Lead in supporting the ongoing development of the Senior Leaders (strategic mindset focus and potential individual executive coaching)

  • Early Careers – work with TM&D Specialist and Coordinator to improve the onboarding, internal processes and Development of apprentices and graduates

  • Source new providers and promote new workshops as part of the regional curriculum


Internal and Executive Coaching/Mentoring Lead

  • Manage internal coaching pool, including matching process and organising refresher training

  • Manage the executive coaching pool, ensuring T&C’s and SOW’s are in place for all assignments and make recommendations for suitable coaching assignments

  • Create a more formal structured process for internal mentoring across the region


Leadership and Learning

  • Promote and embed regional and global initiatives i.e. continuous conversations, regional curriculum, Management and leadership development pathways, accelerated development

  • Facilitate internal initiatives i.e. offsites, 360-degree feedback, LCI Check Ins and regional workshops as part of the curriculum

  • Act as an internal coach and consultant for leaders and managers

  • Contribute to the monthly TM&D Regional Team catch up, share previous experiences, best practice and suggestions


Regional Initiatives and Projects

  • Support regional lead on initiatives and projects as and when required


Key Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Previous experience within a Talent Management function

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills

  • Effective communicator at all levels

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels

  • Advanced MS Office Skills – Outlook, Word and PowerPoint

  • Experienced facilitator


Desirable

  • Experience of working with a global, matrixed organisation

  • Growth mindset


Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Experience in Talent Management and Development

  • CIPD qualified (desirable)
