SalaryWe are looking for a Team Leader to join the team a a Residential Children’s home near Chipping Norton, the salary is £33,000 working 7 days on 7 days off. This is a highly rewarding role working in a great team with many benefits.
You will be someone who has a passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives and is patient, resilient and calm. .
You will be working in young persons accommodation that supports 6 – 13 year olds, all of who have social and emotional issues due to early years trauma. The aim to help these young people understand their emotions and provide them with a safe, nurturing environment that they can grow and flourish in.
You will be building positive relationships, challenging the difficult behaviours and providing activities and events that build self-esteem – from games nights in the house, to football in the garden, to caring for our chickens and goats to summer holidays at the beach.
You should ideally have experience leading a team, you will assist the manager with staff rotas, training the team and recruitment as well as planning activities and putting support plans in place with the young people and liaising with families and other agencies.
It would be great if you have a qualification in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards one and a driving license as there are regular trips out.
