Team Leader - Warehouse

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to be based at a busy distribution company in Waltham Cross, where you'll be given the opportunity lead your own team. You will be responsible for motivating and leading a team to achieve high standards and reach targets.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 5 out of 7 days each week 9am-6pm, however flexibility on the hours of work may be required.

Duties:

• Awareness and compliance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Management, Food Hygiene, and Quality.
• Maintain a clean and well-organised warehouse.
• Participate in performance appraisal and objective setting, to lead to team improvement in efficiency and waste reduction.
• Provide support to associates for improvement, including training to improve quality and compliance.
• Support management on communication including shift briefs, schedules, departure times, handovers etc.
• Work closely with management to adjust work processes based on daily volume.
• Support warehouse team and management with all duties.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader within a fast-paced operation, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Good time keeping skills, with experience working to deadlines and meeting targets.
• Good working knowledge of current health & safety and food hygiene legislation.
• Strong leadership skills, with positive and professional oral and written communication and ability to give directions clearly.
• Motivation and energy, with a strong will to rise to a challenge with a 'can do' attitude.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Sound administrative skills and computer literacy with a good understanding of Excel and Word.
• Ability to follow and carry out instruction with excellent accuracy and strong attention to detail.
