You will be registered with Scottish Social Services Council.You will provide professional leadership as first line manager with day to day operational management responsibility for a team or teams of staff delivering front line social work services, whilst ensuring high standards of practice parameters and service provision are maintained.You will have proven experience in supervisory/management position and experience as a practising Mental Health Officer. You will have working knowledge of the relevant legislation in relation to Mental Health Officers statutory duties and knowledge and experience of using Adult Support and Protection legislation. You will also have experience of multi-disciplinary working, fieldwork experience, sound knowledge of community care services an experience of working with Partner Agencies.
Good organisational and communication skills are essential, including the use of functional information systems, the ability to lead, advise, assess and respond to critical situations, commitment to ongoing effective staff support and development, the ability to work to professional standards and within local policies and procedures, and experience in the delivery of Mental Health Officer training are also essential.
You will be able to travel efficiently in the course of your duties.
