Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Team Manager to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Oldham. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and professionals to effectively assess and respond to concerns about the welfare and safety of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to a team of social workers and professionals within the MASH Team.
- Oversee the timely and thorough assessment of referrals received from various agencies, ensuring appropriate responses to safeguard children at risk of harm.
- Coordinate multi-agency discussions and decision-making processes to determine the level of intervention required to address safeguarding concerns.
- Monitor and review the progress of cases, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including the police, health services, and education, to share information and coordinate safeguarding responses.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaborative working and information-sharing practices.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, organizational policies, and best practice guidelines in all aspects of service delivery.
- Provide regular supervision, support, and training to team members to enhance their professional development and performance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within children's social care, with a thorough understanding of safeguarding principles and legislation.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills.
