I am currently recruiting for an innovative engineering company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. To contribute to the company’s ongoing success, we are looking for a Technical Design Administrator to join the team.
Position Overview:
As a Technical Design Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business by managing administrative tasks and facilitating communication among team members and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities of the Technical Design Administrator:
- Maintain organised and up-to-date project documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and project plans
- Act as a central point of contact for the Technical Design team, relaying messages, scheduling meetings, and ensuring efficient communication flow
- Assist in coordinating resources for design projects, including equipment and external vendors
- Enter project data into relevant systems or databases and generate reports as required
- Conduct periodic reviews of design documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
- Provide general administrative support to the Technical Design team, such as organizing travel arrangements, processing expense reports, and ordering office supplies
Experience required of the Technical Design Administrator:
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, or Design) preferred
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a technical or design-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with design software or willingness to learn is a plus
