Or are you an experienced flooring installer/fitter with solid 'hands-on’ experience looking for the next step and believe you have what it takes to move into a senior advisory role?
If so, we are working with a Market-Leading Manufacturer of highly sustainable and design-led Floor Coverings who due to organic growth are seeking to recruit a Technical Manager to join their business to ensure that excellent technical awareness is provided to the team and their customers.
Our client is an Internationally recognised and respected Manufacturer who specialise in designing and supplying highly sustainable, design-driven Broadloom and Axminster Carpets, Carpet Tiles, and Planks, Runners and Corridor Carpets, Rugs, and accessories. These products are typically promoted to Tier 1 Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build / Fit-Out Companies, and Main, Specialist Subcontractors and End User clients for high-value projects within the Hospitality & Leisure, Commercial Office, Marine, Education, Retail, and Healthcare sectors?
Responsibilities
- Supporting the internal and external sales and design teams with installation/fitting expertise at the stage of offer for complex projects.
- Supporting fitting companies with proper communication on features/particularism of their floor covering solutions (glues, tools, double cut, playing with 4 different technologies…), point of liaison through the concept of Academy & Certified fitters"
- Presence in person to assist/start sensitive fitting in person on site, upon Sales Manager's requests
- The first contact in case of a claim, is liaison with our Quality Department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required - ESSENTIAL
- Expertise in textile flooring fitting, with actual "hands-on" experience
- Capability to work with plans/layouts, no need to master special software such as AutoCAD but fine with basic IT tools like Outlook, SharePoint…
- Strong team player
- Adaptability in communication with different types of profiles, from fitters to end customers (users, owners, investors) sales teams, and Customer service departments in the UK and Europe.
- Face to Face meetings and consultations with customers
- Excellent presentation Skills
- Must be prepared to travel across the UK and Europe

Please Note: The ideal location for the successful Candidate would be the central part of the UK as this role would require someone prepared to travel the whole of the UK, however, if you have the skills, experience, and commitment and are prepared to do what needs to be done (and more) location shouldn’t be an issue.
