Based in Hertford with the option for home working up to 50% of working hours.

We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will have the opportunity to work within a supportive team on a wide range of housing cases, from disrepair and HMO licensing to harassment and illegal eviction.
What will you be doing?
• Responding to service requests and giving appropriate advice.
• Carrying out a range of inspections and investigations and encouraging landlords to remedy defects.
• Taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
• Bringing HMO’s up to standard and actively seeking out unlicensed HMOs.
About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
• A relevant qualification or experience with property and a working knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and other housing standards related legislation.
• Experience using HHSRS for housing inspections and enforcement.
• The ability to deal with challenging situations using tact and discretion.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written skills, with the ability to write schedules of work, summarise accurately and convey complex information.
