Job Duties:
The Hertfordshire Home Improvement Agency (HHIA) are looking for a Technical Officer to work in a progressive and dynamic team. We are looking to recruit an outstanding, enthusiastic and organised person, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Hertfordshire Home Improvement Agency (HHIA) is part of an innovative amalgamation of resources from 6 Districts to provide a service that supports the independence of residents.
Technical officers are dedicated professionals who work closely with individuals and families, managing their cases in a way that successfully connects them with various forms of assistance and adult social care.
The Technical Officer role will work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Case Workers and colleagues across the Health and Adult Social Care sector to provide advice and supervise repair, improvement, and adaptation work to our clients' homes.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that you provide high quality, effective, efficient and appropriate services to all clients and customers in accordance with policies and procedures and to work as part of a team to ensure the service needs are met.
HHIA will help you develop your career by providing development and support whatever your level of experience.
About you:
You will have experience of working with older people and or people with disabilities and demonstrate a genuine commitment to always providing consistently high quality standards
You will have great communication skills, as you will liaise with internal and external partners and the various organisations involved in delivering key customers services.
You will be highly organised with a strong customer focus.
You must have access to your own transport to visit clients around Hertfordshire.
Desirable:
To have knowledge of the Disabled Facilities Grant
To have knowledge and understanding of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996
To have an understanding of council and housing departments
