SalaryA manufacturing company based in Redditch supplying parts and components to the aerospace and automotive industries are undergoing growth and looking to increase their sales team with the addition of a technically mindedTechnical Sales Executive with a strong understanding of mechanical components and their applications.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, working with new and existing customers you will be responsible for putting together competitive quotes for all Technical Sales enquiries and providing technical support. Ensuring customer satisfaction is your key driver, actively listening to customer requirements and providing tailored solutions.
As the Technical Sales Executiveyou will be responsible for -
- Analysing and reading technical drawings to understand customer requirements
- Producing accurate quotes/estimates and contacting customers once quotes have been sent, maximising sales opportunities.
- Taking a proactive lead in developing new business as well as existing accounts.
- Being the technical expert for all products, to then be able to provide technical support to customers.
- Using existing and sourcing new suppliers for raw materials
- Identifying market opportunities and potential areas for expansion
- Collaborating with other teams, colleagues and departments
- Attending face-to-face meetings and exhibitions/shows to identify new customers
Ideally for this role you will have experience of -
- Working as a Technical Sales Executive or Sales Engineer with a good balance between technical understanding and sales
- Knowledge of linkage components, fasteners or springs
- Strong communication skills
- A degree within engineering or a related field
- Being process driven, using CRM systems and Microsoft packages
On offer for this role -
- Working hours Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (with some flexibility)
- Starting salary £35-45k + commission dependent on experience
- Training opportunities
- 28 days holiday increasing with service
An office-based role, you will be required in the office Monday - Friday, based at their site in Redditch.
