Technical Services Assistant

A great opportunity with a prominent UK food business offering a vast range of products to their customers.
Our client is looking for a new team member who is passionate about technical, services and food safety. You may be an experienced Technical Assistant or a graduate/entry level technical candidate with industry placement experience /graduate programme who wants to grow their knowledge of the technical disciplines of the food industry and quality management systems.
Your key duties will include supporting with technical policies and strategies both internally and for the customers, traceability, contributing to HACCP, reviewing specifications, complaint and resolutions, close liaison with NPD teams, report on non conformances and preventative actions, data analysis and trending, ensuring testing schedules are up to date assisting the team ensuring products are compliant and food safety and quality standards are met.
What do you need? Excellent attention to detail is required as well as a champion of continuous improvement and the ability to adapt in a fast moving environment.
The successful candidate must have food manufacturing experience, food technology/food science related degree is desirable but not essential
Awareness of HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and exposure to BRC a would be advantageous.
Confident communication skills are vital for this role in order to liaise with third parties and internal teams.
The position will suit a forward thinking and affable individual who works well in a team and with a keen passion for delivering and with good organisational skills.
