Position Summary
We are looking for a Technical Stores Manager to join our team in Halifax, Nestlé York Factory is the home of the iconic confectionery brand Quality Street amongst several other well-known brands such as After eight, Rolo’s and Munchies. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.
Manufacturing in Nestlé is all about ensuring the consumer receives a perfect quality product, at the right time and place whilst driving losses from our business in order to maximise efficiency & productivity.
A day in the life of a Technical Stores Manager
Reporting into the Asset Maintenance Manager, the main purpose of the role is to Manage the maintenance of a healthy stores team and system by delivering managing the stores team, stock availability and relevant KPI's. Receive deliveries from suppliers ensuring correct allocation and maintain globe by creating stock items and maintaining MRP data.
As Technical Stores Manager you will be responsible for Spare parts management and Line Manager Duties
Execute spare part routines including:
- Spare parts receiving and issue
- Spare parts reorder
- Spare parts storage to ensure spare parts availability.
- Review spare parts reorder levels based on maintenance strategies to optimize inventory.
- Analyse slow moving parts to ensure no obsolete parts are being held on stock.
- Establish and execute inventory control: cycle counting, access process , users training.
- Create Master data and reorder levels for new spares using an Excel program to develop a system
What will make you successful
key attributes we are looking are:
- Proven track record within a Stores Management role
- Evidence of working with a Stores Management system or other relevant Computer system
- Proficient user in MS Office, Invoicing
- FLT Licence (not essential)
