Temporary Accommodation Officer- Leicester Council

Are you a passionate, dedicated Accommodation Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Accommodation Officer to join the Leicester City Council

Umbrella Pay- GBP14.16 per hour

Rota basis working weekends, waking shifts and bank holidays.

3 months initially

The role:

• Undertake the admission, interviewing and induction of service users on arrival.
• Maintain routine and confidential records.
• Conduct twice twice-daily welfare checks on service users.
• Oversee any maintenance issues and issues relating to security.
• General domestic duties, laundry, emergency cleaning, provision and service of meals, snacks and beverages.
• Resolve conflict in difficult situations whilst following guidelines and council procedures.
• Inform service users of their responsibilities towards the council.
• Processing accommodation charges, dealing with non-payments and following procedures.
• Build relationships with partners and other agencies in order to maintain the best services for the service users.
• Meet the targets and deadlines efficiently.
• Ensure the health and safety guidelines are being met at all times, ensuring the staff and service users welfare.

Requirements:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals with challenging behaviours.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Experience with housing related support
• Experience in working in a residential accommodation.
• Good IT skills
• Good written and verbal communications
• Knowledge of housing related support
• Knowledge of administrative processing
• Ability to work under pressure, deal with emergencies and situations of conflict.
• Ability to work outside of normal office hours, holiday periods and weekends on a shift pattern.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
