Temporary Accommodation Officer

RSR Housing are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Leicestershire for a Temporary Accommodation Officer to facilitate the operational provision of safe, cost effective and client-centred Temporary Accommodation.

This is a full time, temporary position, and offers a rate of pay of £13.93

Must be able to work to a rota.

Main Duties:

• Undertake the admission, interviewing and induction of service users on arrival
• Maintain routine and confidential records
• Conduct twice daily welfare checks on service users
• Oversee the maintenance and security of the property and ensure that all repairs are reported promptly
• Undertake general domestic duties e.g. emergency cleaning, laundry and the provision and service of meals, snacks, and beverages
• Resolve conflict in difficult and sensitive situations, adhering to client policy
• Deal with emergency situations, involving management as required
• Maintain discipline, following approved guidelines, including the eviction of service users following Client procedures
• Undertake administrative processes including report writing and monitoring, and maintain accurate and up to date records using the Microsoft Office package and internal databases
• Receive and process accommodation charges

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in a customer facing role
• Experience of working with vulnerable individuals with challenging behaviours
• Experience in the delivery of housing related support
• Knowledge of housing related support
• Knowledge of administrative processes including: Report writing and monitoring
• Maintaining accurate and up to date records using the Microsoft Office package and internal databases
• Processing charges

This role will be subject to vetting and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances.
