The Walk Productions: Development Director

This is a new role that will be an integral member of the team and will take an active role in the organisation and as an ambassador for The Walk Productions with multiple stakeholders. As a new role the Development Director will also have the opportunity to develop the role around your strengths and they encourage the postholder to bring new ideas and ways of thinking to shape fundraising at The Walk Productions.

The postholder will be responsible for raising the funds to enable The Herds project in 2025/2026. You will lead on prospect research, donor cultivation, bid writing and delivering fundraising events. The Herds will see cities on a route from West Africa to Norway will be invaded by herds of life-size puppet animals fleeing north to escape climate disaster from Spring 2025. As the herd moves through each country it will change to reflect this mass migration and we will create a deeply participatory story that reacts, develops and changes as it moves through the world.
