gap technical are proud to be representing this market leading manufacturing business in their search for several Tig Welders based near Blackpool.
Performance Objectives
- TIG welding on various metal components and structures.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine welding specifications.
- Setting up welding equipment and selecting appropriate welding techniques based on the project requirements.
- Fabricating and assembling metal parts using welding techniques.
- Inspecting welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Use of power tools and hand tools to prepare materials for welding.
- Following SSOW/SOPS and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Experience
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques
- Strong knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to assemble components accurately according to specifications.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and welding metal.
- Experience with stick welding is a plus.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
