FTE: 1 FTE (working 37 hours per week) Salary: UH7 £37,099 pa to £40,521 pa with a potential to progress to £44,263 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year Location: De Havilland Campus, Hatfield, University of Hertfordshire We have an exciting opportunity for an operational Timetabling Team Leader with strong experience of leading teams, delivering an excellent customer service experience and implementing change. Main duties and responsibilities You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the production and publication of staff and student timetables across a number of schools, in line with the University strategic goals. You will work alongside two other Team Leaders in the service to ensure consistency in the service delivery across the institution and key performance indicators are met, while contributing to the development of various processes and ways of working. You will have direct line-management responsibilities for a team of Timetabling Officers, Assistant Timetabling Officers and Timetabling Assistant and will ensure workload planning, training and development, performance reviews and adherence to the University strategy. Skills and experience required You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. Your leadership abilities will be essential in developing and improving complex processes to benefit the student experience. Excellent customer service skills will be one of your key strengths and will be necessary to ensure the continuous improvement of the student experience. You will have experience of leading teams, from performance management to implementing organisational change, while ensuring the well-being of your direct reports. You will also have experience of workload management to support the service and the broader university during peak periods. Your IT skills and keen eye for detail will be necessary to analyse, collect and produce data reports to inform decision making in the University.
