We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to join our caring and progressive team in Faversham.
You will work as part of a close-knit team who are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of people in Faversham. Faversham is made up of a diverse patient group with complex needs.
Tissue viability is a growing speciality that primarily considers all aspects of skin and soft tissue wounds including acute surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and all forms of leg ulceration.
The Tissue Viability service provides advice and support to nursing staff and other health care professionals to develop and improve their own practice with the view to raising the quality and standards of care in
Tissue Viability.
• Provide specialist Tissue Viability advice and support to nursing staff and other professionals.
• To contribute in the education programmes, to enable nurses and other professionals to undertake a range of Tissue Viability treatment programmes, safely meeting patients’ needs and supporting integrated care pathways.
• To promote the service both within the Primary and Secondary settings, liaising with other organisations as necessary and supporting the evaluation of outcomes and effectiveness in order to develop the service
