Accommodation Support Officer
Sanctuary Students (not a fixed location as remote working is possible)
£24,261
35 hours per week - 12 month secondment opportunity available upon current line management approval
We have an opportunity for an Accommodation Support Officer to join our Sales and Marketing team on a temporary basis. This post will ideally be based at our student accommodation sites for the University of Dundee. However other locations will be considered.
Working within the Sanctuary Students Sales and Marketing Team, you will provide support to the team as and where necessary but primarily your role will be to carry out the administration processes required for the summer business, as well as supporting the site teams in delivering the best experience for our summer guests.
This is an exciting and varied role requiring an adaptable and flexible approach.
We are looking for a professional individual who is a team player and used to working in a fast-paced environment with experience in a similar role. Being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative is crucial. An individual that wants to learn new skills and can relate to Sanctuary’s values is important.
Working pattern 5 days per week, Monday – Friday.
The role of Accommodation Support Officer will include:
- All administration for summer bookings i.e. Sales communications, enquiries. contracts, invoicing/finances
- Providing a support service for the Site Accommodation teams, answering enquiries for summer bookings and following the process from arrival through to departure
- Supporting Central Finance with tasks such as processing rent payments, invoices and raising purchase orders
- Monitoring the Marketing Team mailboxes, social media platforms and live chat function to provide advice to managers and staff
- Liaising with Site Teams to provide training and support
- Liaising with the Marketing Team to provide a quality customer service to our customers
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
Skills and experiences:
- Experience of working in a front facing customer service environment, preferably as an accommodation provider.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- NVQ in business administration or customer service desirable
- Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role
