We’re seekingan enthusiastic and positiveexperienced Deputy Manager, to join our team within one of our Retirement Communities, part of Sanctuary Supported Living,based in Rose Manor, Telford.
This is a great opportunity to join our customer-focused team to assist with the management of our service.
Set in the vibrant new community of Ketley Millennium Village, near Telford, Rose Manor is a new purpose-built development, offering a selection of apartments for over 55s, with a range of on-site services and facilities. You will be at the heart of the service and will live and breathe our commitment to our customers by providing unrivalled customer service standards within our retirement community setting. You will also create a vibrant hub at the heart of the local community, engaging with partner agencies and visitors to enhance the customer experience and provide sustainable services available to our customers.

The role of Deputy Retirement Communities Manager will include:
- Supporting the delivery of an effective housing management service which meets all legislative and regulatory requirements, including management of buildings, grounds, contracts, and void process
- Supporting the management of relationships within the service to improve better outcomes with customers, staff, volunteers, and the local community in line with our Values
- Supporting and promoting compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures and maintain awareness of changes in legislation and good practice in service delivery
- Assisting in tenancy management, ensuring prospective and existing customers understand their rights and responsibilities relating to their tenancy agreements
- Assisting customers to pay rent and service charges, ensuring that the process is understood, eligible benefits claimed and agreements for repayment of any debt are made
- Supporting the coordination of low-level Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) cases in line with the prescribed policies and practices ensuring that remedial action is taken to build community cohesion
- Recording and updating relevant data, maintaining effective filing systems, database records and processes that enable the accurate recording and timely provision of information
Skills and experiences:
- A passion for working with older people
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- High levels of motivation, flexibility, and communication
- Ability to lead staff and implement a positive customer experience
- Experience of achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and other key stakeholders
- Experience of managing staff and volunteers
- Experience of working in a retirement village setting or and understanding of our customer group
- Experience of ensuring contractual compliance
