Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this successful not-for-profit organisation as they go to market for a Trainee Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. In this newly created role, you will support the wider organisation by offering financial insight, answering queries and monitoring spend for crucial cost centres by travelling to various offices once a fortnight and working virtually!
Responsibilities of this Trainee Finance Business Partner role includes:
- Assisting the Senior Finance Business Partner by liaising with internal stakeholders and offering insight into their monthly activities, budgets and forecasts
- Supporting in the production of management accounts by ensuring all information and figures for your directorate are correct and processed in a timely manner
- Working closely with internal departments, building and maintaining relationships to ensure effective communication
- Play a pivotal role in the quarterly budget review for cost centres and investigate variances where necessary
This exciting opportunity offers hybrid working in Lewes, requiring you to go into the office 50% of the time. The successful Assistant Finance Business Partner will:
- Be qualified to AAT, degree level, or equivalent
- Have good Excel skills and be able to perform vlookups, pivottables and index matches
- Understand month-end processes and have exposure to the production of accruals, prepayments and adjustment journals
- Be a driven individual that is willing to learn and grow within an exciting organisation
- Have experience working with a finance software such as Sage, Oracle, Agresso or similar
- Ideally, come from the not-for-profit or public sector – however, candidates looking to move into the sector are encouraged to apply.
