Transport Supervisor
Salary – £34,473 - £40,556 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week, 6 am to 6 pm

As a Transport Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will support the Suffolk Transport Manager in all duties required for the effective management of the FCC Operator’s Licence and the provision of direct delivered and subcontractor haulage services to the Suffolk based RC and TS operations:
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, Wednesday to Sunday, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
• Working with the Recycling Centre and Transfer Station Supervisors to provide supervision of the Transport functions, during all operational hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Ensure the operation’s drivers comply with EU drivers’ hours regulations and UK Working Time Directive.
• To ensure that the systems are being adhered to by drivers.
• To advise of remedial actions where needed, including the sourcing of spares, maintenance programming and expenditure consistent with cost effective and efficient operations in consultation with FCC’s Plant/Fleet Dept.
• To act as the Transport Section’s competent person.
• To ensure that accurate and up to date personnel records are kept for all direct reports, making sure the Company is compliant with Data Protection laws.
• Process and collate requests for the Transport Manager and Admin Team Leader.
• Using Asset Go (FCC Transport app) keep the fleet up to date with MOTs, servicing and defect reconciliation.
• Daily Purchase Order raising for Transport, following the FCC procedures using AX/SAP programme. Matching with defects and invoices from Suppliers when they come in.
• Scheduling of both RC and Haulage fleet for next day’s collections & deliveries.
• Defect procedure is managed through Asset Go, ensuring the administration is maintained and support the Transport Manager.
• Maintaining vehicle records, scheduling of routine servicing, inspections and testing with the service provider.
• Daily processing of Driver Hour reporting, using Whitespace. Reconcile for monthly wages and overtime reports.
• Maintaining the Holiday / Absence folder.
• Data entries includes Driver Near Miss entries onto Eco-Online. Weighbridge reports to reconcile monthly data entries.
• Regular orders for stationery and PPE supplies when required.
• In the absence of any Admin Team members carry out any other duties which may be reasonably required.
• Monthly vehicle gate checks on Asset-Go at various locations, county-wide.
• Download and manager driver hours / WTD on RHA system.
• To report to the Transport Manager and /or Contract Manager any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice or corruption by any Contractor, visitor, or member of staff
