We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Trade Sales Director to join a successful travel company based in London, hybrid working model.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key account relationships, leading product familiarization activities, leading a regional sales team, and ensuring the overall sales performance of the managed territories.
Travel Trade Sales Director Duties:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Trade Sales strategy for EMEA to drive revenue growth and market share.
- GSA Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with General Sales Agents (GSAs) to ensure effective distribution and representation of the cruises in the region.
- Sales Team Leadership: Manage and lead a regional sales team to effectively penetrate the market.
- Sales Performance Management: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics for the managed territories, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee marketing activities in the regions, collaborating with local partners to localize collateral as needed.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in Trade Sales within the travel or cruise industry is key.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the EMEA travel market and distribution channels.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
