Treasury Markets Business Manager
London
As a Barclays Treasury Markets Business Manager, you will help Treasury Markets execution teams to provide functional strategic planning, support business development, maintain effective controls and support operational leverage. As a wide ranging and substantive remit with significant visibility and profile, this role is ideal for you, especially if you're interested in financial markets and multi product trading desks whilst developing and executing business strategy and contributing to business strategic change and growth objectives.

What will you be doing?
• Leading, influencing, and implementing business development by providing strategic insight and thought leadership to Business heads
• Working on the development of new products, including scoping and business case build-out, solution design and infrastructure coordination, due-diligence, and ratification
• Managing the reporting and reviewing of operational business costs
• Partnering with cross function representatives and IT to ensure the business-aligned infrastructure requirements are effectively prioritised and implemented
• Coordinating the implementation of regulatory and legislative initiatives, communicating key changes to the business and ensuring they have all necessary tools to comply
• Creating and maintaining a wide range of materials and MI and managing business material for Business Review Forums including governing documentation (TORs etc)
• Ensuring trading desks remain compliant with Front Office Risk and Control (FORC) requirements
• Supporting businesses to adhere to Enterprise Risk Management Framework requirements
What we're looking for:
• Understanding of a Treasury/Markets asset class business and financial products (securities, money markets, IRS, FX)
• COO /Business Manager /Finance/ Middle Office /Risk and Control experience
• Proactive approach to enhancing existing processes and procedures, developing knowledge in order to support various strategic business initiatives & control objectives
• Excellent presentation, problem solving, communication and coordination skills to work with international stakeholders and regional teams
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of trading/risk management systems, operational front to back flows and key control points
• Familiar with the financial regulatory landscape (MiFID, Dodd-Frank, Volcker, EMIR, Ring-fencing etc)
• Able to approach, negotiate and influence across different areas and levels of the organisation
• Ability to organise workload, take initiative, prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks with a solution focus, and able to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
