The key responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the work of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service ensuring the effective operation of the jurisdiction in which you are based and providing support across other jurisdictions where necessary.
- Register/process applications and notifications on case management within 24 hours of allocation ensuring that all cases are scheduled within any statutory timescales and are in line with internal KPI’s.
- Prioritising daily workload in accordance with KPI and Statutory Timescales set within the Mental Health Act.
- Answer relevant case related queries via telephone, letter and email. Action any incoming mail within appropriate timescales. Aim to resolve stakeholders complaints in the first instance as quickly as possible, escalating any problems wherever necessary to your team leaders.
- Collate all relevant case information, liaising with external stakeholders and the President’s Office as necessary. All requests that require the advice of an in house convenor should be sent to the IHC mail box within 24 hours of allocation. Attend Legal Case Management meetings with the Judiciary, providing accurate and up to date information on live cases.
- Embrace multi functioning initiative across SCTS and work closely with our Improvement and Learning Team to maximise efficiencies within SCTS. Build on skills and knowledge by shadowing other areas of the operational delivery team where the opportunity arises
- Ensure Curators are appointed within KPIs and the Curator log is accurately updated on appointment.
- Accurately update and maintain CMS case notes and internal databases, making use of IT Systems, such as email, member’s website and intranet to enhance case working processes.
