Job description

Trust Fundraising Lead

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? Our client, a not-for-profit care charity, invites you to be a part of their dynamic team as a Trust Fundraising Lead.

Location: Based in Winchester with hybrid working options (minimum of 2 days a week in the office)
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 28 hours per week

As a Trust Fundraising Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the fundraising strategy, fundraising to support the vision of transforming the culture of ageing. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will be working on projects for funding, ensuring you have the information required to make this a success. You will hold relationships with key trust donors, organise meetings pre applications and build relationships with new donors to improve success rates.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Research:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Trust Fundraising strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Research and cultivate relationships with potential trust donors, both warm and cold.

Case for Support and Application Writing:

  • Craft engaging and accurate funding applications tailored to donor requirements.
  • Gather data on service impact and needs in collaboration with delivery teams.

Reporting and Stewardship:

  • Lead in crafting reports to trusts and maintaining warm relationships post-funding.
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs for application submissions and income targets.

Relationship Building:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, Trustees, and external stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain effective relationships with donors, community groups, and volunteers.

Record Keeping and Compliance:

  • Maintain donor records on CRM systems with high standards of stewardship.
  • Stay updated on fundraising trends and company initiatives.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven track record in achieving income targets through trust and grants fundraising.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in grant writing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Desirable:

  • Fundraising or marketing qualification/training.
  • Budgeting skills and knowledge of issues affecting older people.
