The Sales Manager will be a core member of the management team, reporting directly to the MD, and will be responsible for the sales function of the business. Working collaboratively with the existing team to drive profitability and deliver high-quality customer experiences, in alignment with the company mission. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing the team of territory managers and sales specialists through guidance, training and mentorship.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic sales plans in line with company goals.
- Participating in the sales forecasting process in order to ensure accurate supply of products.
- Define sales reporting structure and processes.
- Creating sales planning approach, working closely with marketing for effective resource/spend management.
- Managing a successful dealer network, supporting brand positioning at all times.
- Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Building, promoting and maintaining healthy, long-lasting customer relations.
- Keep informed of industry trends and competitor news and activities.
- Evaluate performance and effectiveness of activities executed, creating a practice of continuous improvement. Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes.
About you:
- You will be based on-site in Telford with regular business travel in the UK and from time to time to our global production sites.
- Educated to degree level, with a healthy obsession for agricultural machinery, will make you the perfect ambassador for our machinery.
- The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of sales from the agricultural machinery industry and will ideally already be operating successfully as a Sales Manager.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships both internal and external.
- Good negotiation skills, commercial mind-set, and the ability to present and influence at all levels.
- The energy, drive and desire to be a part of a growing business in the agricultural machinery industry.
- A team player with a strong sense of ownership and motivation to succeed.
- Confident, creative, organised and with a keen eye for detail.
- You will be able to manage projects to completion, at times to tight deadlines.
- A problem solver, who will always go over and above to resolve and provide a solution.
- Clear insights of sales challenges faced within the industry.
- Must be comfortable working with data, be data literate and be able to analyse data.
- Committed to providing excellent customer service at all times.
- You will have a full clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office systems and CRM tools is essential.
