Role Responsibilities:
As an Underwriting Data Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting various data sources within our Underwriting team. Your insights will drive decision-making processes across multiple areas, including loss ratio improvement, sales performance, fraud prevention, and workflow optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and root causes, providing evidence-based recommendations to management.
- Creating accurate management information reports and data insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Extracting and interpreting large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, contributing to overall underwriting performance improvement.
- Developing and maintaining reports, analysis, and management information platforms.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A-level in Mathematics or equivalent numerical discipline, with a minimum of a B grade.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data and recommendations.
- Logical thinker with a knack for problem-solving and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and reasonableness of analytical work.
