Our Client
They are a SaaS solution provider for Identity Management and for Personnel Vetting. They develop and maintain two major platforms, that clients use for the reduction of insider threat and increased security.
Their product portfolio is constantly evolving, and it is important to deliver great user experience for the success of the business. In addition, they aim to expand their products’ portfolio to cater for an international market, where the UI/UX experience will need to be intuitive and adaptable.
The Role
They’re seeking a talented and passionate individual to join their team as a UI/UX Designer with strong React development capabilities. In this unique role, you’ll bridge the gap between design and development, crafting intuitive and visually appealing interfaces and then bringing them to life.
Working on both new and existing products, the UX/UI Designer will work closely with a cross functional team to understand user needs, conduct user research, and translate insights into innovative design solutions.
Their chosen frontend technology is Reactjs and this role would be expected to produce frontend artifacts using this technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and user journey mapping to understand user needs and pain points.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for enterprise-level systems, workflows, dashboards, forms, and reports.
- Develop high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes using design tools, with the ability to translate designs into clean and efficient React code.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design decisions align with product requirements and technical feasibility.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX design trends and best practices.
- Maintain a consistent and cohesive design language across all product touchpoints.
- Document design decisions and processes for future reference.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Consider all aspects of the User Experience as well as the User Design to ensure that the needs of the user are met in as simple, elegant, responsive and adaptive manner.
- Define and implement usability testing criteria for testing purposes.
- Defining brand and style guidelines according to industry design principles.
- Iterate to enhance designs on new and existing products based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UI/UX design to keep products relevant.
- Ensure that designs comply with industry standards for such things as accessibility etc.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a user experience and user interface design role, ideally in data intensive web applications.
- Demonstrable experience of a User Centred Design Methodology.
- Demonstrable foundation in visual design including typography, colour theory, layout, and the overall aesthetics of an interface.
- Demonstrable experience in creating responsive and adaptable designs with performance at their heart.
- Must have strong documentation skills, producing process flows and written style guides, prototypes and wireframes.
- Must be a Team player, being able to interface with other team members, stakeholders and clients is key.
- Organised self-starter, with a methodical approach to their work.
- Knowledge of SaaS product design advantageous.
- Genuine industry interest – needs to stay in touch with latest techniques.
