Overview of the role
As Payroll and Data Manager, you will be reporting to the head of Central Operations. Providing insight and analysis on all personnel metrics to support better decisions making in a fast paced healthcare environment.
Main Responsibility
- Acting as the focal point for all personnel MI within the retail operation, working with large data sets producing quality and insightful analysis.
- Working with finance and operations stakeholders to prepare personnel budgets and forecasts, bridging movements, advising stakeholders on key budgetary and forecast assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities.
- Report and track budget performance, provide timely variance analysis, understanding cost drivers.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, analysis of variances to budget and forecast.
- Analyse key financial and HR metrics, trends, and variances to identify areas for improvement.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports for internal stakeholders, perform in-depth data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and anomalies in payroll data, and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Modelling personnel resource requirements, maintaining process work standards, simulating impact of volume and mix changes.
- Maintaining data management policies, ensuring data quality, implementing secure procedures, analysing data systems, supporting data users, and troubleshooting data-related problems.
- Drive the creation of data visualisations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Managing deadlines and priorities so that regular reporting is delivered to schedule.
- Responding with speed to stakeholder requests, develop, foster, and maintain working relationships.
Key knowledge and skills required:
- Previous experience in the same or similar role.
- Proven experience and proficiency in use of DAX, Power BI and relevant data visualisation tools.
- Proven experience of working with payroll.
- Proven experience of producing budgets and forecasts preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Proven experience of resource modelling and manpower planning.
- Proven experience of financial reporting, interpretation and analysis of financial statements and metrics
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Working to tight deadlines, ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
