About us
The Salvation Army is a large charity shop based in Southport with a large connecting warehouse.
We are a busy shop but very friendly and have a lovely working team.
We sell everything from clothes, household, furniture bric, vintage and collectables.
Our aim is to help the people in Southport and local surrounding areas help build better lives for themselves.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with their inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Stock shelves and ensure inventory is properly displayed
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Assist in receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects for the van positions
