Bidfood is a leading wholesale food distributor and thepreferred supplier for over 60,000 customers across the UK, ranging from pubsto schools, from restaurants to care homes and everything in between. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join ournight team in our Liverpool depot. Reporting in to the Warehouse Operations Manager, youwill lead the operations of the warehouse night shift in line with Financetargets and legal compliance whilst achieving the best possible level ofservice excellence to internal and external customers, delivered througheffective engaging and motivational leadership.
Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure thewarehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies,service excellence and productivity within the business. You will be capable ofrecruiting and inducting skilled and motivated people into our business andwill lead, coach and engage teams to be successful.
As a Warehouse Manager you will need to be able to coach andengage individuals to perform to their maximum potential and must communicateeffectively with individuals at all levels including those within differentdepartments. You will promote and manage all QHSE and sustainability standard,focusing on team wellbeing in accordance with the relevant policies. Thisincludes PPE, ops checks, MHE, contractors, hygiene, temperature checks, pestcontrol, accidents and near misses.
To be successful in this role you will have very strong peoplemanagement and development skills and be able to consistently apply HRstandards specifically around recruitment, absence management, performance,conduct, safety and service. You will be able to set clear expectationsincluding KPIs, safety and team behaviours to all direct reports by settingannual objectives and holding regular one to ones to review performance. Youwill be confident in processing and understanding data from systems such asWMS, Risk Console and our employee self-serve system.
You must have food warehousing and distribution experience,ideally backed up with an IOSHH qualification. You will be an excellent plannerand communicator, with the ability to communicate with all levels acrossdifferent shifts and departments.
