Your Manager: Process Leader
Team: Bulk Operations North
Location: Keith/Mulben, with travel to other sites across Speyside as required.

We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.
Your new team
This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.
The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered. In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.
The Bulk Operations team sit within Production and are responsible for Filling, Dumping, Vatting and Warehousing of our products. The North team are based across our sites in Speyside and are driving a high level of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Operational Excellence standards.
Your unique contribution
The Warehouse Operator will carry out the full range of warehousing and operations tasks to enable new spirit to be processed into mature blended spirit.
You will have three main areas of responsibility:
Cask Handling – to fill and dispatch casks and set up, monitor and close down cask filling process. You will receipt casked spirit and store in warehousing, remove casks from warehousing and receive and disgorge filled casks to meet blending requirements and vatting supply. You will also control empty casks to meet inventory requirements. Warehouse Operations – to consolidate part filled tiers to maximise warehouse utilisation and carry out stock checking and leak hunting. You will also carry out re-gauging to update cask content information. Process & Data – to operate computerised or manual control systems to efficiently control the operational process and throughout the process to record and retrieve data when required.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you’ll collaborate with the wider Bulk Operations team as well as distilleries, planning, blending, and engineering.
Externally, you’ll collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure delivery of services to the highest standard.

  • Are able to operate within have a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and other statutory requirements.
  • Able to travel across other sites when required and hold a UK Driving Licence.
