SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Yard Sales Assistant/Driver at Harlow Bros Nottingham, NG3 2NJ. This is a fast-paced working environment working within a well-established team.
The hours of work are 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays 8am to 12pm
You will report to the Branch Manager
Starting rate: £11.44 per hour
We are looking for someone with the following experience/qualifications:
- Driving License
- Basic literate and numerate ability
- Physical ability to work manually and at the required pace
- Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers
- Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks
- Ability to work safely and cleanly
Desirable but non-essential experience/qualifications:
- Timber knowledge
- Machine capability
- Forklift License
- Manual Handling Training
As a role your primary responsibilities would be:
- To focus on load security & highway laws and drive safely and efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time
- To provide a prompt, polite, helpful and professional service to customers in branch and at delivery destinations, always promoting a positive company image
- Identifying, picking, processing, and issuing goods accurately and to deadlines, working from written pick notes and job sheets
- Manual rack filling with timber and sheet materials
- Housekeeping of warehouses and yard
