Year End Accountant

WE Talent are currently working with a national organisation based in Chelmsford, the business prides themselves on delivering high-quality services that meet the diverse needs of their clients.
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Year-End Accountant to join their team on a 4-6 month fixed term contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to their year-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The client requires you in the office only for the first few days and when the auditors visit the office, apart from this they are happy for you to work on a hybrid or remote basis.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the year-end closing process, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data and ensure timely completion of year-end activities.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial statements and reports, identifying variances and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Assist with audit preparation and serve as a key point of contact for auditors during the review process.
• Stay abreast of accounting regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Proven experience in year-end accounting processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
