Peterborough City Council have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Team Manager to oversee the work of a vibrant Youth Justice team. Rated ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding Features’ in a 2020 HMIP Inspection, the Team are looking for a talented manager to join the Service.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent operational knowledge of current legislation and procedures relating to Youth Justice and Children’s Services. You will have a strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and have a proven ability to work with this approach to extra-familial harm. You will also have knowledge of Children’s Social Care, restorative justice and preventative work and will be working within a management team delivering in these areas.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a high performing team that deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will have substantial experience in Youth Justice and the ability to work flexibly and creatively.
