The Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the independent, professional regulator for the education workforce in Wales. It has responsibility for developing and delivering the Quality Mark for Youth Work in Wales on behalf of Welsh Government.
Providing professional guidance and support to a team of assessors as well as organisations applying for the Quality Mark, the successful candidate will be responsible for pre-evaluating a range of evidence and offering advice accordingly. They will promote the Quality Mark to the Welsh Youth Work sector via presentations and representation at external meetings, and arrange and attend assessment visits across Wales, producing reports and making recommendations to stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified Youth and Community Worker with knowledge of the Youth Work sector in Wales and experience of working with quality assurance processes. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills with strong analytical and decision making skills. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential to the post.
