Purpose of Role:
Support the EMEA ECS team in delivering State Street’s Enterprise Continuity programme in line with the global approach, helping the company prepare to resist, absorb, and recover from disruption. The position reports to the EMEA Head of Enterprise Continuity and Resiliency.
The successful candidate may be asked to contribute across all aspects of the Enterprise Continuity framework, including support for BCDs in the execution of their responsibilities and support across the incident management process This role will contribute to the execution of State Street’s operational goals and plans by working in partnership with divisional/group management and/or external organisations.
Role Specifics
- Support the EMEA business in meeting the ECS Standards, and meeting strategic and regulatory requirements. Facilitate workshops and provide expertise / experience to support business specialists/service owners or leads with implementation
- Support the EMEA ECS Team in assessing current best practice in the region, comparing to the current approach being taken, identifying any gaps and recommending required uplifts, actions or mitigations
- Work in tandem with global programmes to ensure consistency of application in EMEA
- Maintain a state of readiness and awareness of situational events and develop strong relationships with regional corporate leads (Security, Information Security, Realty, IT), global business lines (GM, GA, CRD, GD, Alpha as needed) and external sources and partnerships (i.e. government emergency management, monitoring sites, etc.)
- Maintain the incident response teams to provide support to the legal entity head during incidents. This includes:
- Create, update and maintain documentation
- Maintain membership and train team members on process and procedures
- Maintain an annual training program (including simulation exercise) for all groups involved in BCP and incident management, ensuring any highlighted remediation items are followed through to completion in a timely manner
- Perform major incident debriefs partnering with business leads and coordinate and monitor all post-event issue follow-up ensuring any highlighted remediation items are followed through to completion in a timely manner
- Additional responsibilities and projects to be assigned by management as required
