Territory: National - UK & Ireland
Travel Requirements: Able to work away from home - up to 50% of the time
Therapy Area: Infection Prevention - new Surgical Irrigation product in addition to existing hygiene/disinfectant product portfolio
Salary: Negotiable competitive salary depending on experience, bonus, company car, additional package benefits

This is an exciting new opportunity to work as an Account Manager, Infection Prevention. In this role you will be accountable for the achievement of Disinfection and Risk Prevention business development and revenue targets. This is an autonomous role which will give the individual a chance to join the company at the beginning of a new division as they invest in ambitious growth plans.
This role reports to the Sales & Marketing Director, Wound Care and Infection Prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
The overall management of the Infection Prevention business development as agreed with the business in line with company objectives.
To be focussed in controlling and developing the Infection Prevention business, keeping track of change, risks and contingency.
To present to the Directors the long-term business development strategic plan.
To quickly develop and implement a segmented tactical plan, aligned to the approved strategic plan.
To develop and win new business for the company in the UK and Ireland.
To engage with stakeholders with substantial influence, managing those key relationships, growing business partnerships and generating significant revenue.
To make regular market visits to drive growth by ensuring uptake of product usage and to motivate distribution partners, see plans implemented and drive further development.
To provide market intelligence and competitor activity to the Directors.
To provide regular reports to the business and liaise as necessary with the Sales & Marketing Director, Wound Care and Infection Prevention.
To ensure the company procedure for the use of the CRM System is followed.
To encourage active and positive communication with other departments and staff in relation to any business development projects and operational issues within the company.
To undergo personal training and development that will enable an on-going high level of competence and the development of other skills necessary for the role.
To maintain close contact with regulatory landscape and NHS policies in order that the strategic plan may be proactively aligned.
To manage NHS tender submission processes and ensure Infection Prevention products are listed where necessary.
To attend Conferences and business events as required for the promotion of the Infection Prevention business.
To monitor the Infection Prevention range of core and supporting products.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
The client is an international manufacturer in the field of medical and hygiene products. The core of their portfolio, marketed under the well-established company brand, is made up of professional system solutions in three key segments: wound treatment, incontinence hygiene, and infection prevention.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or Business Management (preferred) or equivalent experience Full UK drivers licence (maximum of 6 points)
Person experience required
Recent healthcare sales experience ideally within the Infection Prevention sales arena. Proven track record of over target sales success. Managing new business opportunities and generating significant revenue. Evidence of career development and progression. Experience of working with NHS and private hospitals, ideally within theatres. Experience of managing distributors. Ability to create detailed tactical and strategic plans. Able to execute strategic plans quickly and effectively. Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger for new business. Market leading business development skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and networking. Excellent customer focus and service skills. Exceptional problem solver. Hands on approach. High degree of personal accountability. High level of commercial awareness. Passion to make a difference to health. Able to work away from home. Demonstrable IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Desirable A specialist in Infection Prevention business. A specialist in the management of hospital supply chains, wholesalers and trade channels. Able to define key KPI and performance metrics for distributors.
