Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Worcester in their recruitment of an Accountant on 3 - 6 month interim basis. The role will be paid hourly rate with the perm equivalent salary being £30-35k based on experience.

Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Worcester in their recruitment of an Accountant on 3 - 6 month interim basis. The role will be paid hourly rate with the perm equivalent salary being £30-35k based on experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Accountant:

* Aiding in the preparation of accounts for various group companies to trial balance stage prior to review by management
* Reviewing and analysing overhead variances and provision releases
* Reconciling and reviewing accruals and prepayments
* Analysing and posting expenses
* Reconciling Inter-company nominal, sales and purchase ledger control accounts
* Reconciling other balance sheet control accounts including payroll, purchase ledger and GRNI accounts.
* Posting recurring and corrective journals
* Holiday cover and admin support in other areas of the finance workload (e.g. cash posting, order releases, credit limit reviews)
* Admin support for buying in the group companies (for example raising Purchase orders, progress chasing late deliveries and booking on goods received and supplier invoices).

The successful candidate will have the following:

* Previous experience in the month end process up to trial balance is essential
* Able to start at short notice
* Comfortable to go into the office five days a week
* Able to work autonomously
* The ability to pick up systems quickly
