Accountant

Reed Finance are supporting a Financial Services business in the search for an interim Senior Accountant for a six–month fixed term contract. Knowledge of FCA regulations is essential. Hybrid working available after the first few weeks of the assignment. Salary up to GBP65k plus benefits.
You will be responsible for:
Provide support to the finance team in over the financial year end, including in the production of reports and calculations which support the Annual Financial Statements.Review accounting system (Sage 200) to ensure the team are making best use of software for operational matters.Review other finance processes as required to identify areas for improvement.Support the Finance team to ensure smooth completion of all audit and FCA regulatory requirements.Report to the Director of Finance with any requested financial information, including production of reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members.Be an integral part of the wider team in explaining report findings and working collaboratively to meet tight deadlines, whilst providing a detailed overview of financial areas you are assigned to.Report any risks which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm's reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling. You will be able to demonstrate:
Passed ACCA or CIMA or similar.Financial industry and markets experience.Knowledge of FCA and FCA regulations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
